Dawn Dupree

Artist Statement: I have been making Textile Art since 1990, during this time I have exhibited widely in the UK and Internationally, creating commissions for both public and private locations. I have been involved in a diverse range of teaching projects and am a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths College and senior print tutor at The London Printworks Trust.

My work draws reference from a varied range of sources; autobiographical, cinema, landscape photography, abandoned domestic objects, urban environment and mark-making.

Hand drawn and photographic images are manipulated, merged and printed onto a range of cottons, linens, nylons and furnishing fabrics with dye pastes, pigments and silkscreen techniques.
